The Mānoa Cliff Forest Restoration project was initiated by UH graduate student Mashuri Waite in 2005. Brandon Stone and Glenn Metzler are also organizers for this project.
Mashuri Waite
Mashuri grew up on the island of Hawai'i and is currently a graduate student at the University of Hawai'i at Mānoa in the Botany Department. He is studying the ecophysiology of Hawaiian mosses at a site located between the Mānoa Cliff Trail and the Konahuanui Summit.
Brandon Stone
Brandon is a longtime hiker and native plant enthusiast, with a particular interest in mosses and ferns.
Glenn Metzler
Glenn is a biologist with a local environmental consulting company. He is particularly interested in native plants, invasive species, and natural resource management.
